    Mp3 support?

Okay, i just recently purchased the new MMF2 as I decided it was time for a change in creative software (i currently own 1.5, hopefully its worth the extra £75)

I was curious if the new MMF had mp3 support as i am more than sick of midi files

    THank uuz

    Re: Mp3 support?

I would encourage you to look into the OGG format.
You can find some free converter tools.

    Whats good about OGG:
Pretty much the same compression as MP3 but its license free.
So if you create a commercial game you don't have to pay the MP3 people.

MMF also supports OGG files in the built in sound engine.

Hey Jeff, can you point me in the direction of a free MP3-to-OGG converter? I downloaded a conversion tool the other day, but it's on a 15-day-trail thing.

Awesome! not looking to sell off my creations or anything so i doubt id need to pay the mp3 dudes anything. I would just like to have the ability to add my own soundtrack from the wonderful collection of music i have here.

so is MMF2 worth the extra cost over MMF 1.5?

Definitely. Try the demo if you haven't done so already. The power and capability of it is second only to manual coding

Mind if I answer Audacity. I've been using it for a few years now, it's fantastic. You'll have to download a MP3 library (or plugin or something) separately though - there are instructions on their site.

    Re: Mp3 support?

If you are already the owner of MMF1.5 you qualify for a discount on the £75 cost of MMF2.

The total cost is then more like £40-50 and it is very much worth it. I still don't think it's as fast but it's WAY more reliable.
