    Deleting backdrops

ok so on my game, i want to use weapon A and hit backdrop B

I am using a custom platform engine so the backdrop is the only way that i can make my character stop

any, when A hits B, B should be destroyed so that i can move through the section

I need a freaking answer to this problem ASAP!

You can't destroy a backdrop like that. Use an active object (door) and destroy that to move to the other section of your game.

    Re: Deleting backdrops

You can't destroy backdrop objects created in the frame editor, but you can destroy a backdrop object if it was created at runtime with a Create Backdrop action. Look at the Delete Created Backdrop At X,Y action in the Storyboard object (I think) in the event editor.

    Re: Deleting backdrops

so basically, at the start of the frame, i would do create backdrop "x" and than i could do the expression delete created backdrops at layer "y" right?

DO both do basically the same thing except one does it a an x,y coordinate

No, you creat backdrop at X,Y coordinates 112,122 [for example] at the start of the frame, and then when you want to remove it, delete the backdrop at 112,122.

Create backdrop is under the chess board looking object, the story board object. It's between the sound and timer objects.

    Re: Deleting backdrops

Create Backdrop is under Animation for an active object, Destroy Backdrop is under the storyboard object.
