    Graphic artifacts

    I've got a counter (health number) over an active object - but when the screen scrolls, it creates graphic glitches and makes "holes" in the active object below it and once the screen moves you can see the background through the active object at times.
    Here is a screenshot.

    You should only be seeing the white numbers over the blue box, yet you see the green of the level below...
    I tried placing the numbers and the blue box on separate layers etc. but to no avail.
    This specific part is for the HUD... I'm sure I've had a counter over a graphic before like this, when doing HUD's for other games and not had this issue.

    Another graphic glitch I'm experiencing is that I have a bunch of my counters showing on screen at the moment as I am still early in dev, but what I noticed was that often when the screen scrolls, it leaves artifacts, or bits of the counter on the screen... why is this?

    Hi

    In the properties have you unchecked Save background ? I think that is it.

    Hey,
    Thanks for the suggestion.
    I tried unchecking 'save as background' and that created another graphic hiccup.

    I did solve the problem by un-ticking 'display as background' on the numbers though. Totally solved everything.

    I thought you might have unchecked Save as background - that should be checked!
