    Fading Music?

Is there an extension or a way to allow music to fade in and out, or to adjust the main volume without the music file being a "sample"?

Yea.... I'm pretty sure you can fade music. When I was doing some testing in my app, I was able to fade OGG format music. THough Im not sure if you can fade MID though. But I know for sure you can fade OFF and possibly WAV.

You probably just need to use a counter, and set the initial value to max value (250, I think is the max volume, though I could be wrong). Make it decrease slowly for when you want to fade the music. Then use always event, set the main volume, or the channel volume (whatever channel the music is playing on) to the counter that is always decreasing.

Actually I already tried using a counter and setting "main volume" to it. The "set main volume" action is under samples though, so thats probably why it won't work. I just don't see why there isnt a "set music volume" action just like there is for the samples. Anyways I guess I'll just have to convert the midi to OGG or WAV and play it as a sample.

Use the Mixer extension, it comes with MMF. Subtract from the volume of the FM Synthesizer.
