    Wow, thanks for the effort. That's impressive. More versatile than I will even be needing it. (I'll be using two directions only)
    I'm still trying to get my head around how exactly it's working.
    I hope this method will work with a scrolling game too, as I think the overlay method I was trying to use failed because of that.

    It should work just fine with Scrolling since it just uses an active object for the beam!
