    Dumb Question

I have a player controlled object that I am trying to carry from one frame to the next, but cannot seem to do so. Right now I have it set so when the object exits from the left, it shifts to the next frame but the object does not go with it.

I guess what I'm asking is how would I go about making a player controlled object move fluidly from frame to frame, rather than just appear in some predetermined spot in the frame (e.g. If the object exits the frame while jumping, it follows through when crossing to the next frame.)

    Re: Dumb Question

Ok here's how this is going to roll...
You're going to need to copy that exact object with the same animations and all and paste it into the next frame. Then on the player exitting on the left, Set Global Value A to Player's Y position.
On start of the next frame, set the player to (X value, Global Value A).

EDIT: All you're doing is saving in a Global Value the player's position, then carrying it to the next frame. Your X value is where you want the player. If you exitted from the left, you want the player to be on the right of the next frame, right? So it's going to be in the 600s depending on your player size.

    Re: Dumb Question

I take it you're new to Multimedia Fusion based on your register date and number of posts so I'm going to make you an example thoroughly noted out explaining how it works, ok?

    Re: Dumb Question

Yeah I'm new to mmf. I tried following your instructions, but failed miserably.

Let's say that you wanted to return to the previous slide...
how would you do that without the player returning to the default spawn position?

    Re: Dumb Question

Ah, I just was writing about that in your little example file. You need another Global Value, B, to tell Frame 1 whether your Player has even been in Frame 2. Then Frame 1 can know whether the Player is spawning or reentering, and you can tell it where the placement is. I'm going to PM you the example file!
