    Disappear animation not playing

    Is there any reason the "disappearing" animation wouldn't play when I call destroy on an object? For some reason, the object is just blinking out of existence.

    When is the fade out in active's proporties set, the disappear animation is *not* playing.

    The fade out is not set. Is it safe to assume that calling destroy on an active object would make the active ignore any existing conditions applied to it? I'm trying to figure out if some other code I have is making it skip the Disappear animation. I also tried using a custom animation instead, but it only plays the first frame and then gets stuck. Very odd...

    Any other possibilities?

    As long as the object exists it will respond to actions, even if it is being destroyed.
    Not sure if it applies to animation changes though...

    Thanks for the info guys. I found a way around it by making a bunch of special case code. Not the most elegant, but at least it seems to be working now.

    Actually that's the way you have to do it. You need to build the Actives destruction sequence up especially if you don't just instant;y kill the object, say for instance if the object has a certain amount of hits it can take before being destroyed.

    Also try Animation Disappearing is Finished? =>Destroy
