How would you make a composite image in MMF2?

I realize the title may not have been clear enough, but basically I want to have a bunch of saved images line up in a frame, then it takes all of them and creates an image file with all of them.
I know how to align them, but how would I create the image? Screen Capture wont work because I want each picture to be up to 400 pixels and up to 10 in a row/column which is much bigger than my monitor... Unless any of you know how to use Screen Capture Object that way? But anyways, how would I go about implementing this, if possible, or should I just force the user to go about making such an image manually.

You can use the Overlay object for this.

    1. Place two Overlays in your frame, one invisible.
    2. Use the invisible one to load a picture file from disk.
    3. Paste this picture via "Paste Overlay into Overlay" action in the visible Overlay.
    4. Load the next one and paste again ...
    5. Save as new picture file.

It's pretty easy with the Overlay object.

Of course! Here are some example files I made:

    Minimap Sub-App, Parallax Scrolling - Raster-Method, Heightmapping

Wow! Now I've got even more ideas of how to use the Overlay Object in my games! I've always dismissed it and passed it on the object list because I never could understand it, but now I can use its power!

Could you make a quick example of what you said above if possible?

No matter what i try with both the active overlay and overlay redux it won't send from one to the other. All im doing is always pasting an object into the overlay then sending it to the other but it won't display anything. Is it just for loaded images?

Re: How would you make a composite image in MMF2?

I'm using the overlay very often.
It's useful for a lot of things.

I'm not sure, is there a need for the Active Overlay since MMF2 has the ability to use a layer system?
I never used the Active Overlay and i've done a lot with the Overlay object.
