    Parallaxing question

    I am trying to make a side scrolling game with parallaxing. Ive got all the layers set up, but I have run into a problem. It seems that background collision (im using the default platform movement) will only work properly in layer 1. This means that all the background stuff appears over my character and the actual level. Anyone have any idea as to why this is happening?

    Objects can only collide with objects in the same layer. A workaround could perhaps be to place an invisible player in all the layers.

    Thats the thing, they are in the same layer. The only thing in the other layer is a background.

    Do it that way:

    In layer 1 create bg
    In layer 2 create level.

    Could you put up an example of the collisions going wrong in the File Archive? Background collision is handled slightly differently in layer 1 compared to the other layers, but I haven't heard of it being completely wrong before.
