simple way to make backdrop shake?

I am helping by 9-yr old son make a game for a class project. We are both beginners at MMF2 (think Falling Fruit game skill level). He would like to make the backdrop shake randomly as if an earthquake were happening. Can anyone suggest a simple way to do this?

Backdrops are not active objects, so you cannot position them around or animate them at runtime. I suggest you create and active object for that.
