Controlling active object with mouse pointer.

I'm building a game and I need to know how to - whenever you click on an active object, the mouse pointer is hidden and becomes that object, so that you're able to drag it with the pointer. also, i want whenever you click again, the object is dropped and the pointer is shown again.
