    Designing your own web browser...

Quick Question. If I design my own web browser, using the activeX object browser, is that basically just running internet explorer?

Would that make it illegal to distribute even if it were free?

Well it uses the Microsoft ActiveX for displaying the page, but the rest off the browser would be your own, it would show up and myinternetapplication.exe instead of iexplorer.exe (if you name it myinternetapplication)

I wouldn't distribute it as a browser on its own. It would be more of a skin for Internet Explorer, like WinAmp offers a way to make skins for itself. It would still have the same basic functionalities, speed, bugs, way of handling html, javascript, css and stuff as Internet Explorer.

To understand how much the IE activeX gives you for free, try making an app in MMF2 that reads html code and produces webpages.. now add support for javascript and css

It would be legal to distribute and sell.

Is there something that lets you build a browser in MMF2 that uses Mozilla?
