MMF2D on flash drive

I'm surprised no one has asked, but if there is a way to run MMF2D off a flash drive, i would be ecstatic. Thanks.

You can install MMF2 on a flash drive, but you have to install it on each machine you want to run it from.

The only way would be to use something like http://www.virtualbox.org/ get a copy of XP working with that, and then install MMF inside of that virtualization. Now you have a portable workstation with all of the settings and programs you like ready to go!

how would you install that anyway? i don't see a thing for flash drives.

MMF2 stores registration information on the PC you installed it on, so unless you find and save this info (and have rights to write it on all PCs you run MMF on) you can't use MMF portably.

I did find and store this info for MMF 1.5 back when I was at school, and thanks to all the Win98 PCs there weren't any restrictions on writing to anywhere. Nowadays you probably wouldn't have the rights.

You just install to the PC, but select the usb drive letter as install location. Registry information is on the PC but useless without the installation file. When you connect the stick to the pc you can start the application from there.
