    super mario tutorial?

    i'm creating a platform game using the advanced platform movement system. i was wondering how to kill enemies by jumping on them, and also how to make them attack the player in a boss battle.

    maybe add a one or 2 pixel active that follows your enemy and put it on the top of its head.

    when player collide with top enemy active( the one you just created)-> kill enemy.

    its probably too simple to be enough but could be a good start.

    you might want to add a test to determine the direction of the player when he hits the "top head" active and check if this direction is down so it works like Mario.

    I wouldnt mind an example of this, its a good start for your own custom platform engine, this could be made into a widget

    ok.
    in it, i am going to use David's N movement engine. Just replace this with the movement engine you are using.

    Switch it around so the detector is on your feet. It'll use less objects and thus run faster.

    I never thought of that DarkeSoft! I've been using it on the enemies for soo long, and it doesn't work so well depending on how you do it. The legs thing sounds great!
