This did not happen in TGF

I'll bring the example file asap! but this is the problem:
Main game character squats on the ground when running. (explanation / 2d platformer):
Main character would walk fine, but if he would run, he would hit his crotch on the floor.
This happens because in the middle of the running animation, his feet are off the ground, and since nothing is colliding with the floor, MMF2 makes the character's crotch touch it! This did not happen with TGF! I had to put a 1x2 pixel under his legs while they're in the air so that it makes the collision for him. How do I fix this? I don't want this pixel there. It's been plaguing my beautigul game since the very start! and I did not want to use a mask (unless it's the only way with tgf2)-(I've never used masks and don't know how) Is there any other solution?
You can see this problem in action on the real game you can download here:

    Use the box collision option?

Can you upload an .mfa with an example? Looking at a finished game .exe isn't going to help us debug.

Use Player Blocks/Dummy Player Characters as i call them and make those your main controlled character, they should just be rectangles/squares which are "Always > Invisible" and you attach the character you want to to be the main playable character to them.

This is something I often do since back in CNC, it just makes collision detection better and cleaner for the most part.

Now, I'm not very experienced at all with the MMF applications, buit i have been using them for a long time so i've picked up a thing or two over the years

Re: This did not happen in TGF

Do you have the TGF version? Or are you remaking it from scratch?
If you have a TGF version, can you post that too?

Have you tried unticking "use fine detection" (aka turning on box collision) in the active object's collision properties like I suggested?

Re: This did not happen in TGF

    No. I'm a MMF2 only user so I can't make a tgf version. Sorry.
And like with TGF before and MMF2 now, if I unclick the fine detection the character is frozen on the screen and can't move.
    I wonder why!
