    Online Scoreboard Problem

Ok so I'm pretty much new to the Online scoreboard stuff, but I followed everything from David Newton's Tutorial, but I get an error.

    --------
While trying to process the request:

    http://eclektik.byethost33.com/returnscores.phpFrom: clicktutorial@nowhere.comUser-Agent: HTTPTool/1.0
    The following error was encountered:

    Invalid Request
Some aspect of the HTTP Request is invalid. Possible problems:

    Missing or unknown request method
    Missing URL
    Missing HTTP Identifier (HTTP/1.0)
    Request is too large
Content-Length missing for POST or PUT requests
Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed
    --------
And I don't understand what it is...

Can anyone help? If some info/files are missing to understand the problem, just ask!

I think you might have the variables wrong? I don't know for sure, but check that the service$ and other variables are correct? Or if that definately isn't the problem, try using GET instead of host  post?

    Re: Online Scoreboard Problem

It looks like you're having problems even connecting to the page from MMF, so the $service and so on variables don't yet come into it.

I would switch to using the Live Receiver object instead of Moosock, because it came out since I wrote the tutorial and it has a better chance at communicating with all servers because it handles the intricacies of the HTTP request for you. You can get it on this thread: http://www.clickteam.com/epicenter/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=99980&page=1 . Most of the tutorial still applies, but instead of using the giant list of actions on the Moosock object when you connect, all you have to do is "Start download (GET)" with the same URL that you have just now:

    Code:
    http://eclektik.byethost33.com/returnscores.php
...and then use its "Data received" condition to react when the page responds. I think that the Live Receiver might have a lot more success with this.
