How do you add a windows startup item?

Hey everyone,

I'm going to use install creator to install a server platform for a web app.

How do you get Install Creator to create a startup item to start and application (the server platform) at Windows startup?

Select the file you want to start in the list and then select the Start Menu tab in the File Options, enter #Startup# in the Folder box and a shortcut name in the Name box. That should work.

PS: if you want this program to start for all the users, you have to use Install Creator Pro and select the "All users" option in this tab.

I have one more question, as I said above in my post, I am writing a web-based application, I see that when I enter http://localhost/ into the space available to create a desktop and launch icon, I am unable to click on next.

Any idea how I can do this?

Do you want to install an url as desktop shortcut? If so, create a text file with this :

[InternetShortcut]
url=http://etc.

Rename this .txt file to .url, put it to your source directory, select it in the list in IC and enter the shortcut name in the Shortcut tab.

Only ICP allows you to install shortcuts in the Quick Launch bar (with the #QuickLaunch# macro in the Folder box in the Start Menu tab).
