Can you make them store anything at all?
Global values isn't more difficult to store than any other value.

If you are new to inifiles, I suggest you read this nice tutorial ..

    Re: Problem with saves

The problem hasn't disappeared.. Everything is ok if i don't close the game. If I close it doesn't want to load values.

When I want to save value- I write set value (item)
When I want to load it - I write set **** to item value.

A couple of things - what operating system do you use (more specifically, are you on Vista?) and where do you try to store the INI file - can you see the file in Explorer? Do you set the location to write to using the "Set file" action for the INI, for both saving and loading?

    Re: Problem with saves

if the data is being saved correctly, you should be able to open the .INI file and see the group/item and values within it

if you are getting that far then you know the data is being written correctly to the file. Thats step 1.

next step is to read the data back into the game.

so in the event editor you would have and INI file with the following events attached to it,

    set current file "myfilename.ini"
    set current group "mygroup"
    set current item "myitem"

then you may have a couter object for example and:

it would have the following: set counter to GroupItemValue "mygroup","myitem"

that would set the counter equal to the value stored in the "myitem" slot of the INI file.

there is more then one way to do this sort of thing.. my personal experience, was to completely scrap .INI files and use arrays. I was seeing some strange behavior myself, but arrays have been 100% perfect for me, and in essence do everything an INI does.. and more.

    hope that helps some.

    Re: Problem with saves

Use the ini object. Just set the ini object to the ini file the user wants to save to/load from, and save/load everything to/from the game.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
