    window possition error

I set charachter with the eight dirrections movement and set the window possition in frame to always center on the charachter but for some reason the window is appaering in the center of my 4800,4800 frame with the player nowhere to be seen plus the eight dirrection movement isnt controlling the charachter but is controlling two static objects. there is only one line in my event editor and that is to center the window on the charachter everything elsr is default. can someone please help.

    Re: window possition error

Well the biggest clue is that you say the 8 directional movement is controlling 2 static (background?) objects, which is impossible. So that means whatever is happening is just giving the appearance of two static objects moving. It sounds like the 8-directional movement IS following your character, but it's following a target off your character far enough away to where you can't actually see your character. Check to make sure that not only is the screen set to follow the character, but also that the coordinate target is actually on the character as well, otherwise it will follow your character from a position too far away to see him. It sounds like as the screen is moving to follow your character (even though you can't see him) you are instead seeing the background objects moving as the screen scrolls, which gives the appearance of the background objects following your 8-directional movement instead. To test if that's true, the background objects would actually appear to be moving the direct opposite direction of the keys you press.

    Re: window possition error

thanks i didnt notice that the target was i the center of the screen instead of on the charachter.
p.s. when i deleted the other two static active objects and repositioned them they worked fine guess my computer lagged when i changed them from 8dirrection to static.
