At the cost of making customers unhappy.Originally Posted by Jikito

I feel cheated.

I'm with Fimbul with this one. So in the future, I should be waiting for the software to appear on eBay instead of through the official shop?

Since the random, rare and uncommon sales we have done as a promotion on ebay have upset some people - we will end it.

Fimbul, DizzyDoo: thats ridiculous..if you buy a car for 40 000 USD and 1 month later the seller make a special offer and sells it for 38 000 USD, you should feel the same.
Every seller makes promo actions from time to time..
Sorry, but MMF2 is pretty cheap for such a powerful piece of software, with free HWA upgrade, bonus packs...and you are upset because they dare to offer a few pieces cheaper?!

When a company sells software to one person for one price, and then sells software to another person for a significantly cheaper price, I'm pretty sure that's not right. If I'm the first person, who paid a lot more for it, then yeah, I feel just a little cheated.
Blizna, you are mistaking this for a special offer, like "25% off!" or similar. To quote Jeff, these "random, rare and uncommon sales" mean that one or two people get lucky. Heck, it's entirely possible that at the very same time, one person was buying the product from Clickteam for $229.00 and another person was buying the product from Clickteam for $369.00.

In any event if you check the Ebay sale now you will see you can only buy it now for the full USA MSRP. Otherwise you have to go thru the bidding process.
Then after this copy is gone who knows how long it will be before I have Chris list another one.
Jeff, you should not stop selling it cheaper from time to time. It's not your job to point out to the cheapest offers on the market. If you Sell MMF2 on eBay that's just another market you want to satisfy. I know many people whoe never buy from ebay as well as I know a lot who purchase everything off ebay. If you feel cheated then go ahead and make a market research and look up all the different software vendors and also ebay to find the cheapest offer for you, but please don't come here and blame clickteam for a few sales because you missed the offer.
If I were clickteam I would always have MMF2 and TGF2 listed on eBay, I'm sure people look up on eBay for MMF related searches and it would be great to always find a few listings. That's just one or more customers and therefore more income.
Nothing wrong with it.

[font:Courier New]Two months after I bought my first car, the government decided that, due to the international crisis, taxes on cars should be lowered.
This resulted in a 10~20% discount on ALL cars. It might not seem like a lot, but considering the price of a new car...
Now every retard on my country has a car, and due to the sudden, huge increase in the volume of cars circulating, my city is now plagued with traffic jams (that didn't happen before).
Now I feel like sniping the president from afar.
Imagine if it was the maker of my car that decided to give the discount out of the blue? How would I feel towards them?
Clickteam doesn't *HAVE* to stop the sales, but I didn't know MMF was being sold on ebay when I bought my copy. And even if I did know, I'd probably NOT buy from clickteam and wait for an ebay copy.
This news upset three people, and that's in the forum. Now imagine that proportion stretching through the entire consumer base.
Just to sell one copy now and then? Is it worth it?
I like clickteam and I'll continue to use and buy their products in the future, but maybe for every copy sold on ebay, two users feel cheated and decide never to buy again...
And when MMF3 comes out, it'll be hard to shake the feeling that someday, somewhere, it will be sold for 100 USD less.
[color:#FF0000]Edit: It was an auction? Oh crap then I take back everything I said

So we also need so stop giving away copies in contest?
As then a person could get it for free which is way worse then just 1 random person saving $100?
If someone bought it on Ebay -- which no one did so in fact no one saved $100 as we have not sold a single copy of MMF2 Developer on Ebay.
I had Kisguri bump up the buy it now to the USA MSRP.
