what gives ebay sells the dev kit for a 100 off

I'm sure a lot of people know that clickteam products are on eBay a lot. It has been suggested since years if you want a cheap copy try to get it via eBay.

That would be like if Media Markt (a big german electronic discounter) sells Sony Plasma TVs for 25% less then Sony offers directly on there Web Site (for example). And now every Customer would complain they payed to much.

The only reason I would feal cheated is if I would contact Clickteam and ask if they resell or sell on eBay and they say no and weeks later I would find out they have a few auctions running.

I agree with maVado. If someone wants to find a copy of MMF2 a little cheaper, then it is their responsibility to search around for a deal. Don't stop selling copies on ebay because someone missed out on a deal and feels cheated.

Thirdly we not talking a month later or a year later I was talking about a day later finding out is was a 163 usd cheaper

BTW this is not a car, its not different dealships, and the goverment did not dictate the price change click team controls the price.

Having Kisguri Bumping the "buy it now" price makes you guys a more responsible company ...

Sales happen on sofware, but thats why most companies have a price guarantee at least for 14 days you made the change to your ebay store I am with that.

I belive in the brand and in the entire team. And when MMF3 comes out I will buy it too. I will purchase most softwear from the team here.I plan on buy almost all the softwear when I need it .. i don't want to give anybody the wrong impresseion

If Clickteam sells at a cheaper price, there is a greater chance someone will buy it. If they buy it, and join the community, it is very likely that they will keep buying and contributing to the community. It is an intelligent marketing plan.

However when you buy something you are supporting that company and everything that goes with it. CT was doing something smart in having an ebay store. However it was ethical to charge something different at 2 different locations ... that is for them to decide and I support Jeff’s decision.

When I buy something that means I make the choice to back that companies moral and ethical decisions, and business practices. If I disagree with there choices I will raise a voice.

If I did not buy there product I would have no right to raise a voice but since I did buy there product and support the brand I do have a right to voice on something I feel was unjust however it has been resolved

Getting into a company moral and ethics debate is not my wish. Nor is it my place there are people who dedicate there lives to that ....

what jeff did was a brilliant marketing strategy, ebay gets a ton of hits. if a person misses a deal by not researching, thats thier miss, not the company's. I just got the upgrade to developer and didnt check ebay myself.. im not mad.

giving away a copy at a contest is in no way a bad idea either.. it encourages customers to use the product , to push themselves..and when they win thier copy they talk about it to friends and family...wich in turn usually come to check the software out... nothing is more powerful then word of mouth advertising. So NO that shouldnt end either.

the only thing i would do differantly, is add a contest over at Daz3d, and renderosity forums.. hook a few of those 3d render bunnies to see that they can use thier poser renders to create games as well.

Promoting the software in several ways, supports the company and product that we all love so much, more customers buy, more overhead is covered, and more that Jeff, the developers and click team get thier paychecks, its a business like any other and they need to pay thier electric bills too.

anyways, im no expert on business...but i do know i often try to find the best deal i possiby can myself, and usually will only buy if i see something 40% off or on ebay or otherways.
