Patch maker

During this, it just says "Checking..." and gets stuck there :S
Any ideas?

How much and how big files you are trying to patch? It must be takes time for Patch Maker to check and compare file differences if there is a lot of files to patch.

The exe for that patch maker is only 23MB
The exe for the install creator pro is 1.75GB (Just over 3.5GB when installed

68.4MB (just the patch files/folders)

How long should this "checking..." approximately take? When I work on something else when it does this checking, it freezes out to white? Is this a normal occurrence?

Perhaps it's probably best just to use the install creator pro software for my patches? As it will replace the files anyway... using Patch maker just takes too long for me

Even though.. my patches is obviously ideal for this software so I really not sure what to do.

Okay, it took just under 5 minutes. Can you explain what actually happens here? It is 23MB and the patching is taking longer than the actual installation.

"Checking" verifies the checksum of all the installed files, to see if that's the original files and it can patch them with the differences stored in the patch program. As your the installed files are apparently several GB in size, then it will take some time. I don't see what you can do to reduce this delay...
