    Lag problems

I have 1 desktop computer and 1 laptop.
My desktop computer basic specs are:
    1GB Ram
    2.10 Ghz
    AMD Athlon Dual Core

    My laptop specs are:
    2GB Ram
    1.66 GHZ
    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU

both windows vista with latest direct x

Can you please tell me why when I test my game out on the laptop, it runs at 30/60 FPS? It seems over 300 objects drop it significantly, and addictive blending with alpha blending coefficients drag it down.(perspective object too) I don't have any problems graphic wise, it just runs really slow on my laptop. On my desktop computer though, it runs 100% fine.

Your laptop probably has a cheap graphics card, like most laptops I've seen. HWA is very graphics card intense.

Thought so. It has "Generic PnP Monitor on Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family". I don't know much about graphics cards though.

    Re: Lag problems

Are you running the laptop on battery power? Most laptops turn down the graphics speed when not plugged in.

That, and anything "Intel" graphics is pretty poor for games, they're more for watching videos etc.

    Re: Lag problems

You can sometimes improve performance if there is an updated graphics driver available. I've a laptop that did see some benefit in MMF's HWA mode after updating it.

    Re: Lag problems

A lot of budget laptops have integrated graphics cards. If you want to play games on a laptop, you need to make sure it has a dedicated GPU.
