    Just a simple question;

    Do you guys have any planned addition of a "Create object of type XXX" function in future updates, like some people were hoping before? Because at the moment my engine is taking an unfortunately polynomial time instead on linear time in a critical section which is reliant upon this function, and if not, I could start looking into programming it via a workaround of some sort.

    Im still begging for very simple and very powerful expression:

    GET ANIMATION DIRECTION

    Currect Get Direction gets real movement direction and there is no way how to find out which direction is currently displayed, independetly on the movement.

    Yeah that also would be nice, it hampers a few of my engines, since I can't refer to object's animation directions (I end up devoting an alterable value to simulate it, which is a horrible workaround).

    Pixelthief: exactly! BTW there is no workaround for retrieving animation direction if you do not control the object (like your way with values).

    I guess it wont be hard for implementation to MMF2, the animation dirs have to be stored..so just add one simple expression..pleasee )

    I'm noticing that if I have a user animation that is looping, then the condition "Animation is Playing?" does not test positive.

    Couldn't you just always set the direction to an alterable value and then manipulate that instead of the direction directly?

    Of course not, because built-in movements (e.g. bouncing ball) automatically affects animations direction. Imagine one simple example: an object with 4 animation dirs (left, right, up and down) and you assign to it 32-dirs bouncing ball. You have no way how to find out which of the 4 dirs is displayed. Get animation direction will return movement direction. This is just an example, but this makes really big troubles with more advanced engines.
