    flash exporter

I'm sorry, is this out yet? I realize that there are probably a million threads like this, but I need to know. Also, couldn't I just use an exe to swf converter, or will that mangle the file?

Could somebody explain why a converter wouldn't work? (I'm not doubting the fact,I'm just curious as to why).

    Re: flash exporter

Because they would need to be some sort of illegal program. Flash is Adobe (isn't it? :S) and Adobe (I think its Adobe... is Shockwave its own company?) doesn't want a bad name. So swf is protected by copyrights and licenses so that it can't be used by just anyone. And Adobe wants people to have to use its programs to make Flash programs. ($$$) so why would it be available to convert by 3rd party software?

    Re: flash exporter

This thread is lol. The converter linked works for SWF->EXE (Flash can compile to EXE!) and then EXEs which were either made by Flash or converted from SWF back to SWF.

Any old EXE to SWF would never work.

Because exe files could be made from a number of programs, in a number of languages. It be impossible to convert any exe file from its binary state into an SWF file including all assets, etc

SWiSHmax makes flash files, and it's not owned by adobe in any way.

    Re: flash exporter

Yeah, its pretty self-explanitory. What's killing me is what the price of the flash export runtime is gonna be. 20$, $50? Free for DEV users? Unavailavle for TGF 2 Users? Will it support ogg? The parralaxer extensions? If it does support extensions, how will it handle windows specific commands on a mac? Those questions are more along the lines that I'm interested in. I'll wait a year for it Clickteam, so don't rush on any of our accounts. Take even more time that you originally planned We use the products for quality, and we know you'll deliver.
