    [Request] Aero Glass extension

I am thinking more of an addition to(or remake of) the active system box. It'd just be so nice to be able to utilize the Aero Glass after so long of not utilizing said effect. Here is a tutorial for using it in an application (C++, so it should be possible for an extension) and the code doesn't look too difficult. Right? Not sure, as I am terrible at C++. To the point of not knowing it. At all.

Heh, not really In time people will realize that Vista/7's design is very behind it's time, even Vista when it was new wouldn't have a proper graphical designer's seal of approval. Drop shadows, glass, glows, ooh the photoshop blending modes. I thought those died in the early 00's. I'd place a high bet that it will be the XP Luna theme equivalent by 2012.

At the other hand, if it's the standards that Microsoft recommends, I suppose it's a good option to support them.

All MMF control objects should just feature some sort of graphical designer options. Just customize the look how you need and have options like colors, bevels, light, overlay image with transparency to make fancy textured panels or edges etc. Then have presets and users can share good styles on the forum etc.

It's odd most of the graphics things are not made like this as standard as it means having to use a fixed graphical style. Then people don't like them or it doesn't work for a certain task so a new extension is needed. Lots of customization options is what makes things good in my opinion.

Speaking of PS blending modes, if HWA adds them to each layer and allows effect stacking on each object/layer/frame. We should be able to do basically most graphics effects we can think of. Right now sadly the blends need to be the actual effect (don't work fully either) and you can only have 1 effect at a time unless you code a fx to be multis.

I requested these ideas and i hope they happen, it will be amazing if they are added.

The features are nice themselves if used right and sparingly, Vista just use that kind of effects, all at the same time, looks absolutely horrible. Besides, Photoshop is a tool for all designers, not just the good ones, I'm sure there are nice designs that takes advantage of the built in filters, but I bet most of it's users does it wrong (lens flare anyone?)

either way, just because certain people dislikes the theme of an entire Operation System, doesn't mean we shouldn't add its features

Same here, in fact i like that style myself. Designer elements should just have various presets like that style/theme but allow to customize and then everyones happy.
