    I never would have expected you to put so much effort into this.
    I wish I had more time and will to optimize OpenGL and enhance LuaGL support&use. There should be a much lighter OpenGL extension that doesn't include the .OBJ loader library, automatically call several OpenGL functions every frame etc., and allows for initialization at runtime.

    It's early Christmas for me, As a major fan and user of both XLua and OpenGL; the ability to control one directly with the other is A blessing.

    Hi, ok. Well for now the only function that seems missing is PickMatrix, yet all its counter functions seem available.

    For instance, you have the selectbuffer, pushname, popnames. And then to do test to which objects are on scren to pick, the function to reteive names from the name buffer isnt there.

    So for now, just PickMatrix.

    The other way to do this, is to render the scene in pure colors. And do a pixel test. So the function ReadPixels is required.

    BUT, it seems im having issues with that. It says its supported, but you have removed the "type" parameter which lets you chooe a type such as a 1-byte, so the pixel colors, will be put in a table (0-255,0-255,0.255) as aposed to (0-1,0-1,0-1).

    Hi, just thought ide also say im a bit confused about where to post things about Xlua? OpenGL or both?

    Also, i know ive been recommended to come here to post things about it? But the Xlua thread n the the extensions forum seema lot more active and uptodate? This also says its the current release yets it seems a really old release?

    Hi, also the unproject and project functions are very confusing?

    You have it as this in the docs:

    glu.UnProject (number winX, number winY, number winZ) → number objX, number objY, number objZ ref

    Yet the ref's are
    gluUnProject( winX, winY, winZ, model, proj,view, objX, objY, objZ)

    I can understand and see how it works in the ref, but the lua one i cant even work out how to use it??

    UnProject
    Project

    There are no references/pointers in Lua.
    My guess is that the function actually returns three values.
    So you do something like this:

    x,y,z = glu.UnProject(100,100,0)

    Hi Looki, yeah your on the nail there.

    In a reply to a PM to retreiver, i found this out.

    And also ReadPixels works perfectly, so thats all good too.
