    Raycaster Object - Lag issues?

    The object looks neat. I tried The Staff showcase demo and while the graphics were horrible, it ran ok. I then tried to swap the default graphics with high-resolution Source engine textures.


    wow this actually looks really good. And it had a steady ~50 fps too.

    Only issue was that (as seen on the floor) random white pixels appeared on the texture.

    Then I removed my addition and added back the old texture, and went on to level 2.

    My question is
    why does level 2 lag? Level 1 doesn't seem to have any problems but level 2 is just annoying/useless. I really want to preorder the clickdisc, but if the extension is laggy like that for no reason I don't see a need to get it :\

    Your probably seeing white pixels because that texture includes 'absolute black' AKA transparent.

    ...Lag can occur from missuse of ANY extension.

    I personally think the extension is redundant because its slower and more limited then other available extensions...

    However!, i do concede that it is extremely simple for anyone to get a playable result with this extension, so its certainly worth having

    when you say level 2 you mean the level with a Red color scheme correct?
