    Re: Public servers

It was a DNS problem, it's back up. You should use ledev.org in the future rather than aquadasoft.com.

    Re: Public servers

    Will do.

On a side note, I have a computer that I can run a server on. Is there a dire need for another server?
    - I can program it to be a master server, too.

    Re: Public servers

There are currently 2 public servers available with a high uptime. Don't think there is a dire need, but you are welcome to join the party of course

    Re: Public servers

    Indeed?
    I've set up a semi-dedicated Lacewing server:
    Host: server.dark-wire.com (visit)
    Port: 6121
    Version: Windows/DLL (Build #17)
    Channel listing: Yes
    Blast: Yes
    Flash: Yes

Uptime should be close to 100%, and I'll be taking some measures to confirm that Lacewing server bugs in build #17 don't take it down for too long - eg LB's complaint that his server goes down randomly.
EDIT: Down for a minute while I set up a bug checker.
EDIT 2: Bug checker added, server is online!

    Re: Public servers

I just wanted to let everyone know that my server will be offline for several days, so use ledev, Klikfarm, or SortaCore'server.

    Re: Public servers

Windows/DLL servers (Klikfarm, SortaCore) are bugged. When a client crashes, ghost peer appear on the server.
With Pyton servers (ledev), no problem. Connections are correctly emptied.

    Why?

Pinging doesn't work properly yet - give Jamie some time to fix it and release it; he has a lot of stuff to do, you know.

    Re: Public servers

I keep getting a 'No name' error when trying to join a channel. Is this a known bug, and is there a way to fix it? Here are my events:

    + Start of frame
    - [Lacewing] Connect to server.klikfarm.com on port 6121

    + [Lacewing] On Connect
    - [Lacewing] Join channel "GMTest" (hide from list: 0, close automatically: 0)

    + [Lacewing] On Error
    - [String] Set alterable string to Error$( "Lacewing" )

The error returned is 'No name'. Surely this should work? I've tried with the server.klikfarm.com, ledev.org and server.dark-wire.com but the error returned is the same.

    I'm using Lacewing build #17.

    Re: Public servers

Maybe because you set no name?

    On connect > Set name
On name set > Join channel

    Re: Public servers

    Thanks

Something so simple as well - I assumed that the error was for the channel name.
