    3d style arcade Racing games

    Hi,
Its been a while since I've used MMF2. I've always made 2d style games. Just wondered if its actually possible to made 3d / isometric style racing games with collisions and jumps. I tried to learn c# but its very difficault for me and I'd really like to try and make a game simular to this:

Yeah you should be able to do this easily with the iso and mode7 extensions.

You'll find it much easier to do an isometric style racer than 3D. Isometric is very similar to 2D, your skills will translate a lot better.

The 3D example in the above link is very impressive, but the person that made it has a lot of experience with OpenGL and 3D programming. It'll be a steeper learning curve if you decide to go that way.

Agreed, isometric is a great way to start, and is a good transition tool from 2D to 3D
