    simple movement

    Hello,

I would like to make a really simple custom movement (similar to the racecar movement) where the active object can rotate 360 degrees and move forward or backward along its angle. I got the rotation working, but I could use a little help with the forward motion part. Also I am wondering, can I enable some of MMF's built-in variables like Speed and Acceleration to work with my movement? Thanks!

You could try using the vector movment and the clickteam movement controller to adjust its angle and speed.

Have you checked into the Advanced Race Car Object 2 extension? It has some examples, and is very easy to use, as well.

    Re: simple movement

I have been playing around with the Vector Movement and it is totally awesome! It does everything I had in mind, and way more. What I originally imagined was something really basic, like the movement in Atari Combat only faster... but after 1 day of messing around I have already got a better movement than I thought I could achieve. Thanks for the help, it is appreciated!
