CA AV Plus sees my installers as <<viruses>>

    HEEEEEEEEEELP
A remote user called today saying he couldn't successfully download our installer

    http://www.shesmylittle.com/Pages/roinstal.exe

His anti-virus program [CA AntiVirus Plus]throws out that it is infected with a virus win32/Adware.Clickteam
How very interesting!!! I download it and things go just fine but I'm alarmed enough to go to CA and download the program to try it. Things get interestinger. First, it starts running a scan which seems to go on forever though they call it a Quick Scan. So I cancel it and look at the results. Multiple instances of the so-called win32/Adware.Clickteam
I am using Install Creator 2 Build #34 and am registered as below
    Registered to: Bill Jaynes
    Company: Swan River Software
    Serial Number: 1H0021J267
    On XP SP3
    Please read on...
After the scan, all of the installers I had in directories that were made with Install Creator had vanished! Not there. The multiple instances of win32/Adware.Clickteam most likely correspond to every installer it had whacked.
    What am I to do?
CA is a big outfit and I have no way of knowing how many prospective clients have been steered away. Thank god this one fellow contacted me.
Do you need to let the AV world know that your installers are okay?
    Big problem in Montana,
    Respectfully,
    Bill Jaynes

You need to contact CA and ask them to check the file themselves. Obviously their scanners are at fault. Also, it would be prudent if someone who works for Clickteam contacted CA to permanently clear this up.

    Yeah,
I was hoping ClickTeam would be interested. It could be affecting everyone using Install Creator

win32/Adware.Clickteam?! They're actually naming it Clickteam now? That's no accident..

It does seem pretty sloppy and unprofessional of CA. Probably someone created an installer with Install Creator to distribute adware and CA assumed Clickteam was the one responsible.

We will try to contact them about their mistake.

Bill have you tried the latest build of Install Creator to see if it still detects a false positive? We are up to build #36 now.

Sure makes me wonder about the quality of some of the scanner companies but I guess its better they are over protective then under protective.

Never mind, got it. Also, for the moment, it seems CA is ignoring it. I'll run a scan and see if it gets whacked.
