    Photoshop like software

    my problem is this:
I need to make a small software to make photo editing.
how can I save the images without losing quality?
I tried the screen capture but of course are always 72 dpi
    Do you have any solution?

Don't bother thinking in dpi at all unless you're actually going to physically print it. That unit is used to measure the relationship between pixels and inches and is usually only taken into account when you print something. As long as the file is intended for your computer screen, just think in width and height in the unit of pixels, otherwise you'll only make things more complicated for yourself to understand.

To help you, we need to know more about what you're actually doing. If for example you're designing a graphics application where you draw by modifying pixels within your application, you can never get any more quality out of it than what is displayed on the screen. I wonder if there is an extension that lets you zoom out an object that can be "drawn" on, without that I can't see a convenient way to do this.

Right now other than screen capture the best way i found was the overlay redux which can do various image saving thing but it is buggy and doesn't work well with HWA i find. Overlay redux can also not store things with effects on them. You can use it to save ok but only in standard maybe but this object might never get updated although there is possibly a chance it will get a remake now -

There not really any good ways to do it if you want to save images out with transparent parts although maybe theres some workarounds for certain things. I wanted to make a image editor for a while untill i realized theres lots of limitations when it comes to working with graphics and editing in MMF. Most graphics things in MMF are mainly aimed at using for game making i find rather than creation but you could always make extensions with the SDK though i guess but maybe if the new extension is made right it would allow to do this type of thing much better.

Maybe there should be an archive for old posts like this one...?
