Ok good to know it's possible. If it's just a image i would use a quad but the only thing im thinking is if working with lighting it might not look good. Mainly i want to do the interactive stuff MMF can do and work with other objects also which is why i liked this feature from the previous object. I think in most cases you could just use OpenGL but it would definately be a great option to have available even if it was slower so still worth it.

One slightly offtopic thing im thinking now is there should be a SDK requests/update area maybe. Then clickteam could release a newer version of the main app thats adjusted and a new SDK. If this was possible it would mean things like this might be a lot simpler and there could modeless dialogs etc and nicer features. Just a idea as it seems the SDK is not often updated but puts limitations on some things due to this so it means workarounds are needed by the 3rd party devs.

OpenGL 4.0 is released now, the main thing i mean not the extensions. Seems to be mostly updated for GPU stuff by the sounds of things but i didn't read that much into it.

I don't think the preview bug is extension breaking. You should just release the extensions without it, and maybe worry about it later.

Yeah that is what im thinking, if it's causing problems don't let it hold things up because you can just preview via the runtime always so maybe just remove it even. I couldn't see it but i could see the results when i run the frame just fine and that is the main thing so i have to agree with zellix.

OpenGL 4.0 will not be supported by any of the current graphics cards, though. Many don't even support OpenGL 3.0.

I was thinking of having similar previews in potential future extensions, I really want to make it work, so I won't remove the preview. Still, I'll do another release soon.

I'd try and help you out on the preview thing if I didn't have so much other work bogging me down. Even my extensions projects are at a complete standstill now

    Download

    New release!

    - Fixed a bug in the Texture Bank extension to do with alpha channels.
    - A new extension for loading textures from external image files. ( Which needs a better icon btw. )

Now I'm working on a MilkShape 3D model loader/renderer extension.
