    Model loader would be awesome! A question though. With the Texture Bank extension, it is possible to do Mipmapping in it? And is it possible at the moment to do Mipmapping in xLua using the textures stored in the Texture Bank extension?

    Nice thanks for the new version

    Cel, about that artoolkit thing it looks cool. I asked about licenses for the opensource stuff online once though due to MMF being a commercial and also users making commercial things a lot. It seems to be using GPL which if i remember right was apparently one to avoid.

    The GNU General Public License (GNU GPL or simply GPL) is a widely used free software license, originally written by Richard Stallman for the GNU project.
    I think that this doesn't have to be implemented in the OpenGL object, though. It calls OpenGL functions and should automatically be visible in an OpenGL Base.

    if it were lgpl then it would be fine to use the library as a dll, but with regular gpl even that isn't allowed without licensing the entire extension under the gpl (afaik). this requirement may also trickle down into any other application that uses that extension (but i don't know since this would basically be a dll within a dll within an application)

    so yeah it's generally avoided for stuff like this
