    Lacewing Platformer Example

Some of you remember the one I made for OINC, well no I didn't just convert it. I made a new one from scratch that's a bit better than before. It's commented and aimed at a wide range of audiances so anyone (hopefully) can understand it. I did not put a chat in it because I thought that that would be better left to a tutorial rather than an example, however.

    Known bugs:
-Players can sometimes overlap and then fly up above the level as long as they don't move away from eachother.

[size:8pt]This has music with it, so if you don't want to listen to it then just don't extract 'lemons.it'. However it's not loud or anything; I absolutely hate when people put loud annoying music in thier examples so I try to put quiet or no music in my examples.[/size]

Please tell me what you think, and if you encounter any issues, do not undestand something, or if you find a mistake I have made, wheather it be coding or spelling/grammar.

    Enjoy,
    -LB.

Oh man, that Lemons.it is nostalgic. Going to have to get my MMF2 CD2 out now

Nice work! It's good to see some examples that don't suffer from conversion issues.

Very nice! I wasn't able to notice a single pixel difference between the clients. However, you should make your code more efficiently so the server doesn't have to suffer from all your requests! For example, don't send the position+velocity if the player isn't even moving.

I thought about that, but that ould cause some in-precision if the last message before they stopped moving wasn't sent or was sent out-of order. I did that originally and ran into that problem. Thanks!

Send a TCP message when the movement stops?

It'd also be more efficient to send the data as binary.

Stacks? That's a silly term! Who thought of that!

What? As far as Jamie has told me, there can be unlimited players, or until the server explodes.
