Is there any way to see the code?

Hi to all, I have a question. Time ago I tried MF2 and really enjoyed it, but having no real project to work on at that moment I quickly let it down. Now I'd like to realize an RPG game and was wondering if I could use MF2 to make a part of the game (menus, riddles) and another software more directly related to rpg games for the other part (exploring, mapping).

In few word my question is: is there any way to make an element for a game with MF2 and then see it as code to copy/paste the code into other applications? If not, is there any resource I can download to have a good base to create an RPG game with MF2 without having to start from a blank screen?

I didn't made the name of the other program I am referring cause I suppose it would be against this forum's rules, but I think you understood me. I like MF2 very much more than that other program (your one is more versatile!), but it has the great advantage for RPGs that a lot of the work is already done there, so you don't have to start the game from 0. Is there anything similar for MF?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad english :-)

I have an RPG example on my website, and a lot of examples pertaining to an RPG.

You may want to start something smaller and work your way up to an RPG. Maybe modules.

MMF2 can do all, for example, RPGmaker can do, and more. BUT... you will have to make it all yourself.

by starting from scratch allows you to make it how you want to. but on the other hand if you're lazy and just want to fill in the blanks, and tick the boxes with a restrictive program, then you may want to lean the other way.

Re: Is there any way to see the code?

The problem is exactly this: rpgmaker has a lot of work done, but if you want to change anything (like menus) you have to learn Ruby language and write the code by yourself.

On the other hand, MF2 is much more versatile as you can do all you want with his wonderful "If and Then" system, but on the start I would have much more to do.

I think I'll try with Marv examples in MF2 to see what can I do. Thanks for the answers!

If you are prepared to learn than use MMF, but realise that its going to take hundreds of hours to make a good stable RPG game.

As no-one seems to have said it yet, "No". The events screen is MMF's "code".

Re: Is there any way to see the code?

Thanks to both of you too for the answers. Well, ok, if I have to study so much I think I'll go learning Ruby language for RPG Maker scripting. Sigh, wish I could use both programs together, each one have 50% of what i need ^_^

    Thanks again to all!

Valerio, you can use LUA scripting langauge with MMF, which is good for dialogues and other things. Then you can do all graphics and toher things in MMF which would make it easier than other programs.
