    Questions on the Flash Export plugin

    I've searched the board and couldn't find the answers to these questions. If I'm repeating something that was already answered I apologize. Anyway:

    1. Can you only use this plugin for the MMF2 developer version?

    2. When you open a MMF2 application on a computer for the first time it will need that dll file (cnc32.dll? forgot what it was called) which usually just gets installed through the installer. My question is what happens to someone who views your flash exported file and never ran a click team application before? Will there be some kind of install pop up that comes up?

    3. Does exporting and running your MMF2 application through Flash cause it to run slower than just compiling it to a .exe file?

    4. Are there any legal limits using this flash exporter as far as selling? For example, If I made a banner ad through MMF2, exported it to Flash, would I be able to sell that to a company?

    Thanks, Sorry again for anything that's been repeated

    Re: Questions on the Flash Export plugin

    1. I think I read somewhere that both Standard and Developer versions would be able to use it.
    2. The Flash app will play as any normal one. If Flash isn't installed on a users machine then they should be prompted to install it.
    3. Probably?
    4. I imagine they would be the same as the selling rights you have with the MMF2 version you have,

    Re: Questions on the Flash Export plugin

    1. Works with both standard and developer versions. The Developer version has an additional feature though (preloader applications).

    2. For info MMF2 EXE apps do NOT need a dll, the dll is integrated into the EXE. The DLL was needed in MMF 1.x, not in MMF2.

    3. Yes and no, that depends. Flash apps are usually quite fast.

    4. No limit.

    I got one.... is there any chance we can change the resolution of the application? say for example, we were making an NES style game with small sprites, but want the whole thing blown up double it's actual size. Is that possible?

    really? why not? it cant to stretch to fill screen?

    even flixel has a screen multiplier.

    [SWF(width = "320", height = "240", backgroundColor = "#ffffff")]
    public class Example extends FlxGame
    {
    public function Example():void
    {
    super(320/2, 240/2, MenuState, 2);// <- screenSize magnifier is 2.
    }
    }

    JUust use the clone option in the project window : you'll be able to resize your application with a single click.

    Re: Questions on the Flash Export plugin

    with the version of flash, if you own MMF2 Dev, are you subject to the Dev version of Flash, or can you install the MMF2 version of flash alongside MMF2dev?

    Re: Questions on the Flash Export plugin

    There is only one version of Flash. This version installs the options that correspond to your version of MMF2 (or TGF2).

    For example, if you own MMF2, purchase Flash and then upgrade to MMF2 Dev later, you do not need to purchase another version of Flash, you can simply reinstall the version you purchased previously.
