    Simple Collision of Blocks

I don't know, but I've always had trouble with doing simple collision. I'm trying to make it so if a block falls at an accelerated pace, it stops completely when it touches the ground.

Now let's say I have two red blocks.

if another red block falls on top of it, I want it to stop on red block 1 that's sitting on the bottom. If the red block sitting the bottom is destroyed, I want the red block 2 on top to fall.

I've tried using a fastloop to loop the same amount of times the gravity is set to and what not, but I just can't get it to work correctly. Any help please?

Set the blocks to move only when they are NOT colliding with a backdrop/red block. Do this by using the Object Is Overlapping function, then right click it in the Event Editor, and then select Negate.

    Re: Simple Collision of Blocks

Maybe I'm not doing a good job explaining what I want, so I put an example of how it works now. (problems described in comments)

    1) Blocks need to fall at accelerated speed.
    2) Blocks need to stack on top of one another.
    3) If Block destroyed on bottom, the Block on top needs to fall.

    Re: Simple Collision of Blocks

dsilvers is right I think (sorry I didn't download)

Basically, just do a pinball movement and let the block fall normally

Then when it overlaps the other block, stop it. When it isn't overlapping the other block or the backdrop (I'm assuming that's the bottom) then start it.
