    Help : Inventory System

    Hello,

    Before making my own game, i'm playing a bit with some examples/tutorials to test some key concepts i will use for my game.
    This afternoon, i was trying to make an inventory (Code is not by myself, i found it somewhere in the clickteam forums), but i ran into multiple problems.

    A. Array generated at start of application should overlap background icons, but it's not. I tried to modify the first generated icon (Line 4), problem is when i edit it, nothing happen, and when i delete/redo it, inventory is buggy.

    B. With those type of inventory, would i be able to transfert items to other sub-application? I looked for examples/tutorials about moving objects thru sub-applications but found nothing.

    Point B is very important, because i will use the inventory system for things like skills, for example move skills from spellbook to userbar and such.

    A. Have you tried moving the point it starts to make them from in the Events?

    B. It is possible using Alterable Values and Strings but it is difficult to wrap your head around it to say the least.

    B. Use the Global Function Object instead of glablal values for transferring data to/from sub applications and the main app., it makes stuff a load easier.
    Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3

    Thanks, Global Function seems very interesting.

    As for A. Yes, i changed the point it start to create the array ... but nothing happen, it is still created at the same place.
