    Typical Platforming issues.

How do you lock a camera view to the playable character?
I've got the virtual HxW set to 300 each, but since I've done that, the camera is kinda focused on the top right hand corner.

What's the best way to make room transitions? Should I make a bunch of subframes inside one index?

I've got a red lifebar that disappears when I get hit, how do I lock a fancy HUD to it?

Check my advanced platformer example on my website. I cover lifebars and scrolling. Even if you aren't using the PMO it should still be relevant

Link is in the signature below.

I'm new, so don't scold me but, I wasn't really sure where in the events editor where it talked about fixing the camera to follow the character. I'm using the PMO.

Also I created a graphic to go over top of the life bar, but in the event editor, I don't see it in the grid at the top.

Your frame's virtual width and height should match the actual frame's size, otherwise you'll get tons of unwanted results, like this camera scrolling issue.

ok, so once I revert that back how do I get the camera to zoom in say on a 300x300 view of the character? like a typical metroidvania style game?

You can't zoom at all. If you want to zoom you'll either have to program your own scaling and positioning system for zooming, or simply use the viewport obejct instead.

Would it be easier to just create a bunch of smaller rooms?

Well, it depends on what you are trying to do. Could you explain in more detail? I'm sure we could give you better suggestions then.
