this is a better example.. relatively small areas that comprise a large map

Then yes it's probably better to either make lots of different frames for the rooms, or use an external level format (recommended).

    Re: Typical Platforming issues.

There's not really any tutorials on it, it's really a 'figure it out yourself' thing because people's games are always so drastically different internally and need completely different level formats; thus you have to make one yourself. It's actually a simple concept; you save everything the way you have it set up, and load it back in the same manner. The way I suggest is using the INI++ object to save each object in a group with the items containg info about what type of object it is, it's location, orientation, ect...

We can help you with it but can't make an example or tutorial.

LB, gee, it seems to me just set the frame window big but the application window 300px by 300px - not sure if it is this easy, didn't watch the vids or anything.

It just seems like it should be that simple.

I haven't watched either, but I'm assuming he wants a 2:1 scale, meaning it looks like the old pixelated Castelevania games.

A picture is worth a thousand words... that describe the picture. I don't know what you're "going for" in this case, there's not really much of a hint. Maybe more description?
