    A suggestion

I'm not sure if this suggestion or request (whichever you want to call it) would go. Here or the extension forum. Are you guys developing or planning to develope a new function for replacing objects? Like on a collision, we could change one object into another object with one command?
It's not a big deal, I know, it's just convenient.
I've been dabbling with Game Maker lately, and that's one of the very few commands in it I like.

I see how it could be useful but I don't see the point of it. Just destroy the old obejct and create a new object where the old object is/was. Simple as that.

Yeah, I was speaking not out of necessity, but in a "this would be a convenient function" sense. You know, make the product have just one more neat little feature.

I'm sure it'd just cause all kinds of isuues, what with what it's suppost to do. What about animations, alterable values and strings, and scale/angle? What about different object types? It's much easier done and controlled manually.

Well, the variables would be transfered, which is one of the positive things about the feature. But yeah, you make good points, I just still think it would be a convenient little feature for upgrades to an character and such.

Swap places with another object. Close enough!

    Re: A suggestion

Okay! Just found a good reason for this function. The event in my game just created 2 objects instead of 1.

Then it's your fault and not MMF2's fault, that is, untill you can give proof (example MFA) that it's a bug.
