animation question

hi i am trying my hand at animation in iso format ratio 1.4142:1.

the render window is pixel dim 790 x 558

so i imported the frame into mmf and cropped then i resized to 112 x 134.

The question: Is there a standard size of charcter or is it a personal choice?

Im realy new to all this so is the pixel dim ok.

GOAL: When finished a charcter in eight directions walking/ running / fighting and dying.

It is your choice. You might want to google search "iso game pixel art" or something similar to find tutorials on the tried and true ratios used in iso games.

2:1 is the easiest to work with. To make a 2:1 square, just make a hollow outline of a square. Then rotate 45 degrees, and cut the height in half.
