    Resize quest

My surface object size is 640x480 and i need to load an image and resize it proportionally at the actual surface object size!

    Re: Resize quest

That's easy to do but it requires some math.

    Here's an example: http://clickteam.info/looki/Examples/ProportionalResize.mfa

    How it works:

When the image width is higher than 640 AND the height is lower, we set the width to 640, and multiply the height by the ratio between new and old width.
Same goes for height with 480, but of course, we swap the width and height there.

By the way, please post these kind of questions in the MMF Tech Support forum.

    Re: Surface Object: avi file

    Hi Looki,

I am trying to load an avi file by surface object. Am I going to see the avi file playing through the object? also I can not get an image being played or displayed by other objects through inser/add. Am I approuching the object in a wrong manner?

    Best Regards

Nah, I think it loads the first picture only (This is an MMF feature that I simply implemented and never really tested).

    Re: Surface Object: avi file

    Thanks Looki,

does that mean the object can not get any singel frame from another object playing the avi file? that would be a pity.

    Re: Surface Object: avi file

Unless I don't know the syntax, shouldn't it be:
    var r:Rectangle = new Rectangle(param0,param1,param2-param0,param3-param1); ?

    Re: Surface Object: avi file

You're right, I really should fix that one, I don't even know how it slipped in in the first place. As you may know, I'm busy with other things but this shouldn't take long so I might fix it today!

    Re: Surface Object: avi file

How do I "load from clipboard" at a position? I couldn't figure it out with blits.

    Re: Surface Object: avi file

    Create a new image with width&height 0.
Make sure it's the editing image. Load the clipboard into it.
Then set the blit destination to any position you want.
Blit it onto another image (ID 0, or whatever).

You'll need multiple images - or use multiple Surface objects.
