    Re: Surface Object

Thanks Looki, i have a few quick questions -

Is it not possible to load multiple images on a single layer? If i do this for example -

    Start of frame >
    Load image from file (Path)
    Set Current image to 0
    Resize image to (200,200)
Load image from file (Path) (same path as previous)
    Set Current image to 1
    Resize image to (100,100)

Then the images vanish, if i just load a single image and resize it then it shows ok but with 2 it will go so i am guessing i need to change the layer somehow? Also how do you set the xy location to paste the image at? the main set position seems to set the whole object/surface but i did not notice a option for when adding a image in.

Also is there a need to resize the actual surface? If i resize it down and load a large image without a resize transform it fills the whole frame so i am guessing it fills the whole layer up?

    Re: Surface Object

Loading an image from a file automatically resizes it.
"Set current image" sets the current image to be displayed in the frame.
"Set editing image" sets the image that is affected by all the actions.
There actually is a property in the object which is called "Display editing image", but apparently it's grayed... Thanks, gotta fix that.

By the way, did you add images before working with them?
You can add an image with size (0,0) and then load a picture into it - as I said it will automatically be resized.

Also how do you set the xy location to paste the image at?
I'm not sure what you mean, you don't seem to be using the "Blit" actions. If you are, use "Blit > Destination > Set position".

Thanks, ASD, I was able to test this now and can confirm it's not working. It's amazing that you've figured out how to use the text functions without any examples.
After googling, I've figured out that anti-aliasing is only supported by some fonts:
"Font is always antialiased if the font supports it and the size of the font is not too small or too large."
I've added all possible quality values now:
    0: Don't care, 1: Draft, 2: Proof, 3: Aliased, 4: Anti-aliased, 5: ClearType
From what I've seen you should either use Aliased or ClearType.

    Re: Surface Object

Will not MS UI Gothic support Aliased?

Only ClearType that all fonts support?

Aliasing is supported by all fonts.
Everything is supported by all fonts except Anti-aliasing. For smooth fonts, use ClearType instead.

    Re: Surface Object

I've uploaded a new version that comes with a couple of examples. It also fixes some minor stuff, not worth mentioning as no one has complained. By the way... the fine collision bug doesn't seem to be fixed after all. :S
Anyway, I hope the examples are somewhat useful to you.

Um, could you put the examples in the Surface folder instead of right into the examples folder? I was confused until I realised they weren't in thier own folder.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3

No i was not using the blit commands, i am guessing those are the paste to layer type things.

This object is quite different to what i was expecting to be honest as it seems almost like a modular approach with it's commands rather than doing things more directly like the old redux object. The naming seems more technical also which is why i needed a example or help doc just so i can get the basics of how it works first.

I have just downloaded the new version though and will take a look at the new examples, thanks.
