    Ouch! Forgot all about this. The new version can be downloaded here: http://clickteam.info/looki/Extensio...Surface1.5.zip

    I've just implemented some HWA optimizations for Andos - why haven't I done this before!? They're not online yet because they need some fine tuning, but let me say this: implementing custom renderers via blitting is now.. feasible. I can blit, stretch & rotate an image 1000 times per frame at 58 fps.

    The new version is here!
    http://clickteam.info/looki/Extensio...Surface1.5.zip

    It has a few new HWA-related actions:

    Settings > Convert to bitmap
    Settings > Convert to HWA texture
    Settings > Convert to HWA target
    Blit > Effect > Tint

    HWA textures are for read-only purposes (writing is slow because the texture has to be recreated). Textures can represent any kind of image that is supposed to be blitted - tiles or whatever.
    HWA targets represent "render-to surfaces" which can be used to render textures to them (via GPU, which is very fast).
    Bitmaps are standard surfaces - the HWA types don't let you modify a lot (Only "Draw rectangle" and a few other actions will work, some might even crash - please don't try to set pixels in an HWA surface etc.) - so if you need to modify your image, you can convert it back and forth. Note: Every HWA surface is converted to 32-bit (alpha channel).

    The blit commands are now optimized for HWA and support blit modes, stretching, and rotating. There's even a new HWA-only blit mode - "Tint", that works like MMF's RGB and alpha coefficient properties for Actives.

    Quick demo showcasing the new features:

    Looki, do you still happen to have that http://mfa.aquadasoft.com/view/1367844987-HWA file somewhere?

    Sorry, Alonso, I do not!

    Heads up to an upcoming update:

    Major stuff:
    * Full unicode compatibility
    * Rewritten documentation
    * Rewritten rendering routine, now completely HWA optimized
    * Menus and concepts renamed and rearranged to be easier to pick up (Screenshot)
    * Completely new set of examples! Hopefully a lot more than last time!

    Also:
    * Simplified drawing actions without outlines (the old ones are still there, of course)
    * Some optimized actions (e.g. convolution matrices)
    * New color matrix actions (Each color channel = sum of all color channels with coefficients)
    * New generic purpose actions for adjustments like contrast (maybe some HSL/HSV stuff)
    * Convenience actions for easily stashing an image or blit settings to restore them later
    * Improved support for blitting using Direct3D

    If you have any requests for small features, here's your chance!

    Hmm... How about support for the "set pixel" action in the flash version of the Surface object by drawing an already-supported shape in a 1-pixel large area (e.g. draw rectangle via position and size with the width and height as 1), if you can't figure out how to support it fully (e.g. not using identical programming to the draw rectangle via position and size action with a fixed width and height)?

    Are you saying "Set pixel" doesn't work in Flash?
