I have been playing around with MMF2 for a year or so now, but I have never done anything serious with it due to time contraints. I am currently trying to solve the following problem...
If I 'drop' an object (i.e. by placing it on the screen at a specific location, how can I get it to act like a bouncing ball? i.e. it falls, bounces at the bottom of the screen and eventually comes to a halt. I would like to keep this object active, so if something else hits it, it would move just like a ball would.
I was thinking that I could use the bouncing ball movement and use some combination of gravity, deceleration, etc, but I can't achieve the desired effect.
Is there too much physics in this requirement, or is it something I can achieve with MMF2? It's something that is easily achievable in Actionscript, so maybe it's just me thinking about the problem in the 'wrong' way.
I want to export to SWF, which may be somewhat limiting if extensions are required.
Thanks in advance.
