Can't delete parts of image to be transparent

I imported sprite sheets and I split them up using paint and cut and paste from a backdrop object. When I import parts I can "pick" a color to be the transparent color and it works. Sometimes I do that and it won't be transparent. I have alpha layer off and transparent selected but it won't work. I Also try to delete it and it won't delete (the part goes to transparency with checkered image). I also try to specify the color's rgb value in the transparency color property in the objects transparency property section. Neither work and I'm confused on why it doesn't. It works on some images with same background color (checked rgb values of it) and other images with same background don't work. What could cause this?

? Doesn't mmf convert and handle them all the same? ALL of my images were png. So i know that's not the issue on why it works on some and not others.

GameDevs I believe it still shows the transparency, but it doesn't seem like it because the transparent indicator is now that color??

I don't like the "import" feature, I always copy/paste in manually.

That doesn't work RR. You don't get any alpha transparency in that way.

As long as you never change any setting when importing it should be fine

I just click on the open box. I use the "dropper" and pick the backdrop color behind my image. ALL my images share the same background color and i used the same settings for all the active objects i did this with. They are all the same settings and image background, but give different results.

Well, setting a trasnparent color kind of defeats the purpose of an Alpha Channel.

Re: Can't delete parts of image to be transparent

when i specify a transparent color i change the setting from alpha channel displayed to transparent displayed, in the active object image editor (double click active object), and the color i pick for transparency is the same as the color i picked when i imported the image.

By getting rid of Alpha Channel you basically surrender Anti-Aliasing and nice smooth Alpha-fades. :p
