Vitalize and online highscore issues

Hi,

I followed Jeff Vance's Easy Online score tutorial and with great success I now have working online scores.. However I really used the tutorial as is and modified the layout and visible elements... Now my problem comes in when I cloned the onlinescore frame and created a 'score' frame that is used to display the score only, i tried jumping in and removing what i thought was only the prompt for name input and name and score uploading...

But now when you go through the new scoreupload frame once, and then access the 'score' frame from the main menu, the 'score' frame doesn't work prolerly. Sometimes it hangs for a few seconds, sometime sit crashes vitalize without displaying any scores... I don't know what to add or remove to get the frame to work properly..

First of all, nice game. I hope you will post it here for the community to play once it's all finished.

I followed your instructions, but I cannot get it to hang or crash.
What I did was: played the game then selected the scores menu. watched the scores load and then played again. I tried different combinations of going back and forth, but I could not trigger any bugs or crashes.

I am using IE 8.0.6
And I installed latest version of Vitalize for this test.

Can you please tell me what browser you are able to get this crash in?

Also, perhaps try to reinstall Vitalize to ensure you have the latest version.

Finally, from your description it sounds like a bug occurs cause of how you might be using Get object. If you would like, I can take a look at the events of the highscore frame, and see if there is a problem in the way you have set it up.

Great thank you. I am wondering if it would be caused to a sudden lost of internet connection... But even that i assume the tutorial and scripts have taken that into account...

I am playing on google chrome and had no issues until last night.

I will ask a few friends to see if they encounter this bug.

I believe that it won't trigger the "On Get Complete" condition if the get times out. I'd let the user switch screens/refresh or something while waiting or another way for them to exit the now offline highscores.
